Shades of Despondency
What is it now that wasn't there
Before when time was too the same
Lives didn't suffer and were happier despite
All the despondency that went on.
Thought lingers without any reason
Like weather and changing season.
Seemingly close is the fire in you
Burning continuously but in lighter shades of crimson, orange and blue.
Time to time you remind yourself
It's just a phase won't bother again
Waiting to calm your inner strength
There is a motive to all this, you can't pretend.
At least once in a while, you don't tell the truth
To yourself if not others.
Confusion has answers but not the one you seek
Ages and ages took men who were Greek
To find solutions you bother now.
My dearest maybe too young?
Homer, Archimedes, Aristotle and Socrates didn't sort them so soon
Either they would have been dead long before their discoveries made to moon.
Hours can move faster than what you might think
Reach for them, make them count.
If and only if
Stagnation is what you fear
Stagnation is what you need.
