Distress of Solitude

When she realised she had it all,
Was the onset of her fall.
The happiness to claim fame,
Had turned into a colossal game.

The faces she rendered on reel,

Changed her life's attitude and zeal.
The blinding stellar illusion,
Put her into problem without any solution.

Web of lies changed her perception,
The reality she faced was her own deception.
"It was an eventual fate" said they,
As she never valued what came her way.

With money being her only wealth,
Her hope was her last strength.
The truth was too hard to bare,
And she'd no one to confess or share.

Friendship was the one thing she treasur'd,

But money couldn't buy that pleasure.
She gambled the love and care,
Now, all that left was despair.

First hand on poetry, sheer luck. Yes, I have been reading Cuckoo's Calling for inspiration notes.
