Bachpan Diaries : We Will Never Be Too Old...

Bachpan is Hindi for childhood.

Summer has always been a long awaited period for me. When all of us, my cousins and I would gather in Jaipur (maternal house) for summer vacations. In the common area, we all would sit for hours and play with our favourite Pokèmon cards. In the night we would set the lawn with chairs and play Hide and Seek, the youngest (unfortunately, me) would be targetted as the ultimate victim. Everyday, at five in the evening, we would gang up at one person's place and fix our eyes to the TV to watch Ninja Turtles or Power Rangers. Sometimes we would even inact them. Each summer spent there has been special and different, one summer it would be Duel Masters, the other it would be Beyblade. Every summer came with a new trend. We were restless kids, still are.
Even now, when some of us have started with college or have come to their final years of school, we still make time for each other. Every occasion is a much around pleasant time as we all share our piece of life with one another. Every meeting has a different topic or argument. Usually the argument is on technology (Android vs. Apple, being our all time favourite). All these years, we all have grown as different individuals but still share the same bond with each other. Some of us have changed, but mostly for the best. The rowdy and rebellious have become the smart and hardworking.
Why am I remembering all this?

That's largely because I believe a person's childhood tells a lot about their present being. Luckily, I have had the most brilliant childhood. I haven't missed onto anything. And we haven't become old either, infact this was proved when we all met last week on the occasion of Bhai Duj, after the endless conversations and chit-chat there was a point when we all wanted to play Name-Place-Animal-Thing. And we did! That was the time when I realised no matter how old we become we all have child inside us. No matter how old I get, I will always cherish these precious times and moments. :)

Since its because of you all, from eldest to youngest:
