The line that stayed with me till end of the movie. I was hearing a lot about this movie and wondered if it had ever hit the Indian theatres. Anyway, I made my own arrangements. The more people appreciated it, the more curious I had become. When I finally saw the movie, only one word in my mind, unbelievable! In the first five minutes you're hooked to this incredible movie. What is about? Something what young kids call these days, magic? It is magic, the way this movie is pulled off, its mind blowing. And just as you know, this movie was directed by Louis Leterrier, whose works include The Transporter&Clash of the Titans.
For the gist,
Four gifted magicians, three unimaginable heists, a billion dollars. The story starts with the introduction of the four street magicians played by Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fishler, Woody Harrelson and Dave Franco, each gifted with their unique magical tricks. These four combine and form the 'Four Horsemen'. Their first game, to rob a bank. The way they do it? Complete genius.
Their first trick manages to make them famous overnight. So much so that their next show is sold out within thirty five seconds! Meanwhile, there is FBI intervention, however, our magicians come clean as there is nothing to be proved. That's the whole charm of magic, isn't it? Simply not recognisable from the close. As the movie proceeds, there are two more heists. Each one of them is greater than the other, their last and the climax proves to be the best.
The movie also features Morgan Freeman playing the antagonist. A suspense that doesn't unfold until the last five minutes of the movie. Thus, you're glued to your seats. If you haven't watched this movie, you're a missing a big treat as undoubtedly it is one the greatest movies of 2013.
