Book Worms Delight : Revenge Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger

Miranda is back! Was my instant reaction and the sole reason why I bought this book. Miranda Priestly. The name just made me go hysterical. So as it is I had huge expectations from the book. Well, I won't say that Revenge Wears Prada is bad read but it definitely didn't live upto its name. The "REVENGE" factor had been missing. However, I still read it. It was one of the much talked about sequel because its prequel The Devil Wears Prada was a phenomenal success. Now lets talk Revenge...
Tens years have past since Andy left Runway. A lot has changed since then, she has started her own successful magazine known as The Plunge with Emily being her best friend and business partner. But before her Big Day, she starts having unsetteling thoughts of the person she hated the most, Miranda Priestly.
Is it just marriage anxiety or much more?
Anyway, happily married Andy gets everything that she wanted. A good job, a great husband and unexpectedly a baby too! Alas nothing last forever. Andy and Emily receive a call from the most feared office in the world, the Priestly office!

And here comes the devil. What does she plan to do this time? Is she coming for a payback? Why can't she just leave their lives? All sorts of such questions clouded Andy's mind. Miranda's motives had been clear from the very beginning. But the question remained, how is she going to do it?

The book's tagline reads 'She's is back and more devilish than ever'. Well, Miranda is back and she is still a devil. But devilish? I don't think so. Honestly, there were not enough things with Miranda that you could possibly say that they were devilish. Infact, its more on how you catch up with Andy's life now and then. She tries to balance her marriage with her not-so-good mother in-law. Her pregnancy gives you some hilarious accounts and offcourse, the book does give you lots of Prada. With not any specific must reads or highlights, Revenge Wears Prada is a light read. For me it was time-pass chic lit.
