Lurking Loneliness
Sometimes the person who tries to keep everyone happy, is the most lonely person.
Lulu once shared, she’d marry a lovely prince,
For now she knew, he didn’t exist and
was mystery and myth.
She once desired to travel the globe,
For now she knew, she couldn’t abandon her ship.
Her ship full of overwhelming responsibilities,
Stripped her from extraordinary capabilities.
Like an emrald stuck in stone,
She couldn’t stare into devils of her own.
As time grew old, she suffered change.
Raw and beautiful with a bit of scar,
She smiled away like a lost flower.
As young Lulu turned seventeen,
I wonder if she’d break any rules with much keen?
Mix with defiance and blinding rage,
She fussed about her choices, but
Who shall be put forth for blame?
