Forsaken Esurience
“Selfish love hurts, selfless love heals.”
All the times I remember,
I lost you in battle surrender.
The love never faded,
It has dried like wounds in gone ages.
Tales I narrated you as the minutes passed by,
I still can't believe; I never said goodbye.
The vaccum surrounding me contained,
Only you believed that I'd not delude
for selfish gains.
Reaching like a ghost pushed aside.
And when you chose to forgive and forget,
It was my time to regret.
My eyes met your gravestone,
I wish I'd salvaged my esurience and
made you my own.
esurience- an overwhelming desire for more
Poems too have become your forte now?
ReplyDeleteThis is great! I can see it being included in literature readers in the future :)
